Arthurus was a king of men Laid to rest in a hidden fen To rise once more when need appears Surrounded by his knights' long spears. Long has he lain in Avalon, But now he will his armor don, Pick up once more his sword and shield And take up battle in the field. Rife banners then will flock to him, A multitude both gay and grim; He'll lead us through the deadly fray And bring about his foe's dismay.
